What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy, as its name suggests, is a therapy of aromas, the aromas of therapeutic plants concentrated in the form of essential oils. These pure extracts are the basis and tools of Aromatherapy. Many people use essential oils, like Lavender, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, at home in their baths and oil burners. They have discovered the many therapeutic benefits of these pure, wonderful gifts of nature.

What is an Aromatherapy treatment?

Aromatherapy treatments combine the therapeutic and fragrant properties of essential oils with the healing power of touch and massage. The holistic massage is gentle, rhythmic, connecting and soothing. The essential oils are individually selected for each client. This powerful combination of therapeutic essential oils and holistic massage creates the ultimate in relaxation.

What are the benefits of Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment, balancing the whole person, soothing and relaxing stressful lifestyles and optimising health and well being.

People who come for regular treatments find that their energy levels are increased substantially, their immune system is strengthened and they cope better with daily stresses. They value the quality time spent, a time out just for themselves. They have discovered that relaxation is a necessity, not a luxury!

Through Aromatherapy, Lorraine has helped clients suffering from arthritis; joint, muscle and nerve pain; PMT: IBS and other digestive disorders; poor circulation; depression, stress and anxiety; skin disorders and many other ailments.

Lorraine has much experience in giving ladies Aromatherapy safely during all stages of pregnancy.

Reflexology, Aromatherapy & Lymph Drainage Massage are all relaxing, natural paths to better health.

Why is it called Advanced Aromatherapy?

Qualified Aromatherapists are trained not only extensively in different types of massage to a high standard, but also have an in depth knowledge of the properties, chemical composition and safe use of a large number of essential oils. They are trained to know how to blend these quality oils and use them to treat each client individually . This differentiates them from a large number of beauty therapists who have only a few weeks training in massage and are only allowed to use pre blended massage oils bought in from a shop or supplier. However they offer Aromatherapy massage using these pre blended oils. Thus to differentiate the 2 different levels of Aromatherapy Massage, some professional Aromatherapists use the term Advanced.

How often should I come for a treatment?

A course of 6-8 weekly treatments is the best way to receive the full benefits Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Lymph Drainage Massage. After the initial course a monthly maintenance programme is highly recommended.

Hi Lorraine, I Just wanted to drop you a line to say how grateful I am for all you have done for me. As you know I have a history of back trouble and as in recent years this has gotten much worse and I now have arthritic joints which cause much pain.

Your Aromatherapy Massages have helped me no end. They have enabled me to have a better quality of life. The first time I came to your house, as you know, I had a particularly bad muscle spasm in my back and by the time I had left it had disappeared.

Once again I just wanted to say how grateful I am to you. Kind regards. John D , Smallfield 10/09/08
